Helios Makerspace is an environment for people to build, collaborate and learn. Our mission is to launch a makerspace in Montreal for entrepreneurs, students, hobbyists, artists, artisans, crafters and technology enthusiasts. We would like to deploy by beginning of 2014. In parallel, we are also gathering funding and equipment to provide our services.
You’ve probably had many ideas, but lacked the tools to follow through. 3D printers are fantastic, but a good one is still too expensive to buy for home. That’s where we come in. Along with electronics, woodworking and metal-working tools, we want to provide to the local community access to a 3D printer, a CNC Machine and a Laser Cutter. Our vision is to enable ideas to grow and create a space for innovation.
